Over the last four years, the Alamo Regional Mobility Authority (Alamo RMA) has been at the forefront of one of the most heated debates our community has seen in recent times, the addition of toll lanes to some of the most congested roadways in our region. As the water debates in the 1990s, the future of transportation today is one of the most pivotal issues before our community.

We have had much progress under the fi rst strategic plan. Through an engaged public involvement effort which has taken the Alamo RMA to multiple parts of our community, to retaining a highly qualifi ed and skilled staff and consulting team, to the willingness of our Board of Directors to embrace multi-modal solutions, we have followed the direction and intent of our first strategic plan to keep empowering our local community in transportation issues.
