Loop 1604 Super Street

The Super Street, an operational and safety improvement for the Loop 1604 corridor, from Braun Road to SH 151 and Loop 1604, is designed to help increase the ease of use of this roadway in the highest traffic areas which exist today.

The Loop 1604 Super Street consists of three separate projects to help improve operations and safety on the Northwest and West part of our community.

The first project - improvements at Braun Road, are being environmentally cleared by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), and TxDOT will handle the construction work on this project.

The second projects - improvements from Braun Road to SH 151 was environmentally cleared by the Alamo RMA in September 2010, and construction started in March 2011. The construction for this phase of work is being overseen by the San Antonio District of TxDOT.
