If traveling Loop 1604 Westbound this weekend, consider taking an alternate route or plan for MAJOR delay.

Saturday, March 24 – Monday, March 26 Loop 1604

Westbound Main Lanes Closed ***EXPECT MAJOR DELAYS***

The Loop 1604 Westbound Main Lanes will

be closed from the US 281 exit ramp to the Stone Oak entrance ramp on Saturday,

March 24 starting at 3:00 a.m. and will reopen Monday, March 26 at 5:00 a.m. This closure is

to continue placing beams to connect the Loop 1604 West to US 281 South interchange.

Each beam is approximately 220 feet and weighs 109,000 pounds. We encourage

drivers to avoid the area during this time. If not possible to avoid, please be

prepared for major delays during this time. Main lanes will open as soon as

work is completed.

Detour: If traveling Loop

1604 Westbound, all traffic will be detoured to take the US 281 exit ramp to

the Loop 1604 westbound frontage road. Travel through the intersection and get

back onto Loop 1604 Westbound main lanes at the next entrance ramp.

Daily Weekend Closure Loop 1604 Eastbound Frontage Lanes Closed

from US 281 to Gold Canyon ***EXPECT MAJOR DELAYS***

The Loop 1604 eastbound frontage lanes

will be closed Saturday, March 24 – Sunday, March 25, 2012. This is a daily

closure beginning at 7:00 a.m. and reopening at 5:00 p.m. This closure is to continue

setting deck forms on the steel beams for the North to East direct connector.

2012 Loop 1604 Westbound Bitters Exit Ramp Closed The Loop 1604 westbound

Bitters exit ramp will be closed Thursday, March 22 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and reopen at 12:00 p.m.

Detour: Suggested detour if traveling Loop 1604 westbound exit NW Military and take the turn around to Bitters.

Daily Closure Beginning Wednesday, March 21,

2012 Loop 1604 Eastbound Gold Canyon Exit

Ramp/ Left Frontage Lane Closed

The Loop 1604 eastbound Gold Canyon

exit ramp will be closed Wednesday, March 21 – Friday, March 30, 2012. This daily

closure is from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Gold Canyon exit ramp closure is in

addition to the eastbound left frontage lane closure from US 281 to Gold

Canyon. The closure is necessary to set deck panels for the North to East

direct connector.

Detour: Traffic traveling

Loop 1604 eastbound will be detoured to US 281 exit ramp and through the US

281/Loop 1604 intersection.Traffic may

also use the Loop 1604 eastbound Bulverde exit ramp, left at Bulverde and left

at Loop 1604 westbound frontage lane.

Plan Ahead, Upcoming Closures! Monday, March 26, 2012 Loop 1604 Eastbound Entrance Ramp from

Stone Oak Parkway

The Loop 1604 eastbound entrance ramp

from Stone Oak will be closed starting Monday, March 26, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. This

closure is scheduled for four weeks to allow foundation work on the columns and

drilling for the direct connector.

Detour: Traffic wishing to

enter Loop 1604 Eastbound from Stone Oak will go through the Loop 1604/ US 281

intersection and enter Loop 1604 after the Gold Canyon intersection.

*DETOURS

for Loop 1604 Eastbound frontage lane closure from US 281 to Gold Canyon Suggested Alternate Routes if traveling in this area to access the

shopping centers at the southeast corner of US 281 and Loop 1604.

US 281 Northbound - Exit Henderson Pass or

Exit Donella

US 281 Southbound –

Take the US 281 southbound frontage lanes to the turnaround at Donella or turn

left at the Donella traffic signal

Loop 1604 Westbound – Exit US 281 take a left at Loop 1604/ US 281

intersection. Take the US 281 southbound frontage lanes to the turnaround at

Donella or turn left at the Donella traffic signal.

Loop 1604 Eastbound – To access Northwoods Shopping Center take the Bulverde

exit and turn left on Bulverde, left on Loop 1604 westbound, left at Gold

Canyon and right at Henderson Pass.

Suggested

Alternate Routes if traveling in this area to access Loop 1604 eastbound,

instead of using the frontage road during this closure.

US 281 Northbound -

Exit Henderson Pass or Exit Donella and continue north to turn right on

Henderson Pass and make a left on Gold Canyon. Make right onto Loop 1604

frontage and enter the Loop 1604 eastbound entrance ramp.

US 281 Southbound –

turn right on the Loop 1604 westbound frontage road and use the Stone Oak /

Voigt turn around to enter the Loop 1604 eastbound entrance ramp located west

of US 281.

The US 281 Southbound exit ramp to Donella was closed

Wednesday, February 15 and will reopen Saturday, March 24, 2012. This

closure is needed to continue work on columns to connect Loop 1604 East to US

281 South.

Detour: Traffic

traveling US 281 South will exit Loop 1604/Sonterra and go through the US

281/Loop 1604 intersection or traffic will exit Brook Hollow and take the turn

around.
